We just survived what I will call the most chaotic Christmas ever (notice I did not say the “worst” Christmas ever, although there were moments along the way that I was feeling that way). We got home about an hour ago and unloaded the van. Now my house has piles of things to be unpacked and organized but I have lost all motivation to address them.
We had a great time with family; it was all the traveling in between each stop that was a nightmare. And to top it all off, Lyida ran a fever for 2 days and vomited twice, Bryn and Lydia got impetaigo (how do you spell that??), and just for extra fun, I got strep throat and so did Conrad. Good times.
I think it’s safe to say we will never do a Christmas trip like that again. Some changes need to be made before next year.
This is probably very depressing to read. I will post again after I get this house under control and try to include some pictures to prove that we had a lot of fun too. Off to deal with the chaos.
can’t wait to see the pictures and hear more about it! glad you’re home safely and can rest up from your holidays.
bummer…. guess you’ll have to move to PA
lol
WOW! Nothing like the joy of Yuletide season, eh? As my brother used to say, “All’s well that ends.” Glad you made it back okay.
